Wi-Fi QR code: let guests join without typing a password
Print a QR code and guests never have to type your long password again. Here is how to make one in a minute.

Reading out a long Wi-Fi password is a hassle, and a simple password is unsafe. A QR code solves both: a guest points their phone camera at it and joins instantly.
How it works
The QR code stores the network name, security type and password in a standard format. iPhone and Android cameras read it without any extra app.
Make the code
- Open the QR Code Generator and choose the Wi-Fi tab.
- Enter the network name (SSID) and password and pick the security type (usually WPA/WPA2).
- Download PNG for screens or SVG for printing at any size.
Tips
- Test the code with your own phone before printing.
- Set up a separate guest network for a café or office.
- If you change the password, print a new code: the old one stops working.
Your password is never sent anywhere: the code is created right in your browser.
